Fondazione Sozzani hosts Ivan Mietton, who presents Sottsass: Poltronova 1958-1974. The book, published by Skira Paris, highlights a particularly free and fruitful period of creativity for the famous designer and architect Ettore Sottsass (1917-2007): his ten years of collaboration with the Poltronova brand from 1960 to 1970. A period of great formal freedom that distinguished the production of the Poltronova furniture company and, in general, Italian design. The book provides a careful analysis of Sottsass’s work through vintage advertising shots, notes, and photographs of the designer from Ivan Mietton’s in-depth archival research.
