This edition gathers a great number of illustrations and sketches that the Italian fashion designer Walter Albini (1941 – 1983) produced throughout his prolific and short career. This book is a homage the creativity of the Italian designer, his genius and his poetry. First theorist of the “total look”, a way of dressing that didn’t depend just upon the clothes but upon every fashion garment and accessory, Albini is considered the father of the Italian prêt-à-porte; he was the first one to start showing in Milan, contributing to make it the new fashion capital of Italy. As a kid, he develops his great expressivity by drawing continuously on every piece of paper he might find. This spontaneity will follow him in every step of his career, preserving the sense of dream upon which, according to Albini, our days and lives should always depend.
