Lessico Familiare is a home clothing project born in 2020, out of boredom and joy*.
It stands as an attempt to translate our lexicon into disassembled, reassembled, and often enlarged garments, playing with trousseaux and memories. It is one-season, and a continuous narrative in which garments come and go without haste. It leaves the domestic walls, after the very first images with Benedetta Barzini, to exhibit his garments in Fondazione Sozzani and Dover Street Market Paris, passing through ADI museum, Cinema Beltrade, independent galleries such as Spazio Martìn and Mare Karina, Rome for “Who Is On Next?”, Paris with Forte Forte and Forte dei Marmi for the contemporary art festival Sapore di Mare. It returned to Milan and became one of the 4 winners of the Camera Moda Fashion Trust 2025. Lessico Familiare appears in WWD, Vogue America, Vogue Italia, Harper’s Bazaar, I-D, MarieClaire, Elle, Re Edition Magazine, Grazia, Il Corriere della Sera, NSS, Virtus, Collectible DRY and Camper – The Walking Society photographed by Martin Parr.
The current lineup includes Riccardo Scaburri, creative director and lecturer; Alberto Petillo, tailor and tattoo artist; Alice Curti, designer and lecturer; and Victoria Genzini, image director and curator.
*Natalia Ginzburg, I Married You for Joy (1964).
