Fondazione Sozzani hosts Gianfranco Contri, who presents Isola, a book by Siri Ranva Hejelm Jacobsen published by Iperborea.
A young Danish girl longs for a green and inaccessible island, battered by the north winds. An island in the Faroe Islands where she has never lived but which she has always felt was her ‘home’, because her family emigrated from there in the 1930s. Thus begins her journey back to Suðuroy, from where her grandfather Fritz, an Arctic fisherman, set out in search of a better life, and her grandmother Marita, a restless dreamer, fled to the world and modernity.
