Fondazione Sozzani presents Franca Sozzani – Paving the Way, a documentary produced by Quoiat Films for Qatar Museums and Doha Film Institute, written and directed by Federica Cellini and Francesco Zippel and with editorial consultancy from Sara Sozzani Maino. Through intimate accounts, iconic moments and unpublished interviews, the documentary offers a visual journey on the figure of Franca Sozzani, an icon of international publishing and a supporter of influential contemporary designers. The event is under the patronage of the Comune di Milano and the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana.

Paving The Way – Franca’s Legacy was created in collaboration with The Franca Sozzani Fund for Preventive Genomics, Harvard Medical School. The goal of the fund created by Franca Sozzani’s son, Francesco Carrozzini, is to achieve the highest standards in preventive genomics research and advocacy, ensuring that everyone – regardless of ethnicity or socioeconomic background – can access personalised strategies to promote health.
From February 25 to 27, together with Paving the Way – Franca’s Legacy, there will also be a screening of Chaos and Creation by Francesco Carrozzini, presented at the 73rd Venice International Film Festival in 2016 focusing on the figure of Franca Sozzani as director of Vogue Italia, which highlights her revolutionary influence on fashion editorials. The film was included by the Hollywood Reporter in the list of the ten most important fashion documentaries of the decade.
