Fondazione Sozzani hosts Paolo Mereghetti who presents the 30th anniversary edition of his famous Dizionario dei Film (1993-2023), published by Baldini & Castoldi.
The definitive version of the book contains 35,000 entries, with a comprehensive collection of many “old” films, from silent movie milestones to women who have been forgotten for too long (Kinuyo Tanaka, Ann Hui) to “masters” to be reconsidered and made known (Mario Soldati, Joaquim Pedro de Andrade, Jean-Paul Rappeneau, Sadao Yamanaka, Tex Avery, Christian Petzold, Bertrand Blier, Koji Fukada) to champions of popular cinema, right up to Claude Lanzmann and his films that question history.
