Fondazione Sozzani hosts Simon 171 who presents Design Italia, 47 Studio Portraits a book published by FortinoEditions. This project stems from an interest in design and portrait photography: it is a collection of portraits whose leitmotif is coexistence, the relationship between occupied spaces and the people who occupy them at that moment. Desks, bookcases, corners with piles of objects, plants, sofas, and armchairs: but also details, lights, and the photographer’s movements on site or from one place to another are part of the artist’s creative process in creating her portraits.
Among the people portrayed: Chiara Andreatti, Federico Angi, Giuseppe Bavuso, Ilaria Bianchi, Federica Biasi, Riccardo Blumer, Andrea Branzi, Brogliato+Traverso, Cristina Celestino, Aldo Cibic, Matteo Cibic, Dimorestudio, Antonio Facco, Formafantasma, Gamfratesi, Martino Gamper, Ron Gilad, Stefano Giovannoni, Gordon Guillaumier, Noa Ikeuchi (Mist-o), Ferruccio Laviani, Piero Lissoni, Marcantonio, Gustavo Martini, Alberto Meda, Francesco Meda, Alessandro Mendini, Giacomo Moor, Tommaso Nani (Mist-o), Alberto Nespoli, Toan Nguyen, Fabio Novembre, Matteo Nunziati, Kensaku Oshiro, Roberto Palomba, Federico Peri, Guglielmo Poletti, Elena Salmistraro, Antonino Sciortino, Ludovica Serafini, Roberto Sironi, Studio Klass, Studio Lido, Matteo Thun, Patricia Urquiola, Zanellato/Bortotto, and Matteo Zorzenoni.
